Medium: White cotton with floral star field, the border with spread wing eagles with shields, weeping willows and cherry tress with lion corner blocks
Miscellaneous: The turn of the century witnessed a resurgence of interest in candlewick spreads, with revival pieces incorporating motifs found on earlier weavings. The standing lions at each corner seem to directly reference those found on coverlets by Harry Tyler (1801-1858) of Jefferson County, New York.
