The brass turn buckles are original. The interior was made with plate groves and spoon holders. This pristine classic Pennsylvania two-part Dutch cupboard retains a lovely mid-19th century grain-painted finish accented with white doors all over a first coat of red. The interior of the upper case shows its raspberry-red first coat. Truly an exceptional example from an important private collection. The drawer pulls are later reproductions.
