Pieced and hand-quilted cotton
63 ½” x 73 ¾”; mounted for hanging
Wyoming was the 44th state to enter the Union on July 10th, 1890 followed by Utah, the 45th state, on January 4th, 1896. it is likely the quilt was made to commemorate Wyoming joining the Union sometime between those two dates. The quilting is nicely defined. Excellent condition.
