The ‘Best’ 19th c. Pennsylvania bucket bench incorporating the cut-out lollipop sides and plate bar as seen in 18th c. counterparts along with decorated drawer fronts of beveled construction. An exceptional example with scalloped sides and original, untouched surface.

Date / Circa: Circa 1830
Maker / Origin: Unidentified maker from Reinholds area, Pennsylvania.
Medium: Pine with the original red-painted finish and paint-decorated drawer fronts.
Miscellaneous: Closely related to a group of Dutch cupoards with smoke-decorated doors all found in an area centering around Reinholds, Pennsylvania in Lancaster County. Ex-collection: Steve & Barbara Gittleman
