The upper portions of each of the watercolors bears the names vertically in red ink "Alice Perkins Hussey' and "Rheuben Hussey" creating an acrostic, the verses asking the Lord to guide them through life. Below the verses are colorful doves surrounded by fig branches, one pair holding cherries, the other fig leaves.
