The book signed and dated “Ruhamah H. Simpson 1831” and comprising approximately 25 bound pages containing mostly mathematical problems; some pages with drawings. The sampler with stitched inscription “Ruhamah H. Simpson, aged 10 ys 8 mo 19 d, July 13th, 1826.”
$9,500, the two
Ruhamah married Thomas Clayton (1813-1846) in 1838. Both are buried in the Freehold Baptist Burial Grounds in Monmouth County.
