51 ½” x 36 ¾”; in original mahogany-veneered ogee-molded frame, 60” x 45 ¼”

Provenance: descended in the family of Ella Jane (Parks) Tidd (1844-1937); sold, Freeman’s, Philadelphia, 15 November 2017, lot 365; Private Collection.

In excellent overall condition; conservation report available.

Granville (1840-1897) and Ella Jane “Ellie” were the children of Leonard Wellman and Roxanna (Nichols) Parks of Woburn, Massachusetts.  Leonard worked in the leather and shoe industry.  Upon his death in 1850, Roxanna married Alfred Eaton.
