Inscribed at bottom: “A present from her uncle Henry Brubacher”. Anna Brubacher(1824-1873) lived at the Brubacher Homestead in Lititz, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. A needlework she completed at age 20 is pictured in the study by Clarke Hess and Lee J. Stoltzfus, "Historic Mennonite Farms and Homes Lititz, Pennsylvania". Also pictured is a fraktur drawing by her bachelor uncle, Henry Brubacher(1785-1839) who lived his life on the Brubacher homestead according to the study. It is not clear however if Henry Brubacher was the fraktur artist of this piece.
