Monumental in scale, this magnificent American folk art still life is signed “Durand del” signifying that the artist was proud of being a delineator or print maker by profession. The composition, abundant with cheese, fruit, cakes and peppermint sticks seemingly floating on marble shelves, is striking against the black back drop.
