Record for Benjamin James (1774-1856) and Margaret (Hiett)(1777-1846) McDonald. The birth record for their daughter Elizabeth (1806-1850) was sold at Pook & Pook, 19 June 2009, lot 66. An award of merit by the artist was presented to their grandson, George W. McDonald, son of Evan McDonald.
